Angelina Jolie has the body that is the envy of many women – she is greatly admired for her figure. So, how does Angelina keep fit, slim and looking toned.
After being selected for the role of Lara Croft in the movie Tomb Raider she made sure that her body looked well toned, fit, and sexy.
She managed this by sticking to a strict diet and even stricter exercise routine
Before shooting for the movie she had to get into a perfect shape to depict the character of Lara Croft.
For this she had to go through rigorous training. This not only helped her to lose excess body fat but also helped her to gain a few pounds in the right places – it was all Angelina in that costume.
To gain lean muscles Angelina had to go through kick boxing training.
Kick boxing was the perfect exercise for Angelina as it stood her in good stead for the part of all action female heroine, Lara Croft.
Kick boxing can help attune the body and mind.
This leads to breathing control and shaping up of thighs, calves, and hips. This action does not only lead to weight loss but also tones up the muscles.
Kick boxing for about an hour everyday can help burn off 600 to 800 calories.
Regular yoga also helped her in building a healthy body. She also had to learn canoeing and street fighting which added to make her fit.
She also gave up smoking, drinking, and coffee. She had to follow a nourishing but special diet of soya milk, steamed vegetables, steamed beef, steamed bass, and no sugar.
Even after the birth of her twin babies Angelina was keen to come back to her pre-pregnancy shape. She again got on to a special diet of fresh vegetables and fish.
Her breakfast consists of brown bread, herbs, tomatoes, and organic salmon. As for dinner and lunch she has tomatoes, spinach, watercress, and grilled fresh tuna or mackerel.
